Corfu Yachting’s Extraordinary Sailing Trip

On October 31, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Corfu Yachting took its yearly end of the season weekend sailing trip with the Carver 356. It was a picture perfect day, the sun was beaming, clear blue skies stroking the azure waters of the Ionian; a pure utopia. The skipper of Corfu Yachting along with his crew started gathering all the gear together and making sure the yacht was ready for their sailing trip.

All was checked: the engine, the water pumps, life jackets and the emergency equipment: everything looked A OK!

The Skipper shouted “All Aboard! “

Everyone boarded the magnificent yacht.

The Skipper hollered with a smile: “full throttle!!!” The Great Carver started breaking through the calm waters of the Ionian Sea. The crew members got together at the back of the yacht to chat, munch on snacks, sip their refreshments as they enjoyed the fresh air, the sparkling sun and the salt water that sprinkled their faces. As they were chitchatting, time flew by fast and before they knew it, they had to find a spot to anchor.

Up ahead was the Emerald Island with the famous cave of the Sirens. Since ancient times it was believed that if men stepped on this Island they never returned home and so this island was never visited.

This looks like a perfect spot” said their daring skipper (who loved to be different) at that moment the crew members gazed at each other with a frightening look on their face.

Oh, common, don’t tell me you’re afraid and you believe in that nonsense”, “This was in the ancient times we’re in the Bluetooth age.” explained the skipper (laughing) as he started preparing to anchor.

The yacht was anchored just a few feet away from the island. The skipper and two of the crew members collected their necessary equipment for sleeping on the island. As soon as they got their stuff together they boarded the dinghy and headed for the island. The remaining two crew members stayed in the yacht to soak up the sun.

As they reached the island they began to unpack and prepare for a barbeque. One of the crew members noticed a radiant amethyst light about 30 feet long in the water, it began from the left side of the island and reached as far as they could see. The other crew member started to panic.

What is this? Aliens? “
